A New Chapter
A new direction after three years in research
After three years as a researcher and PhD student at the Institute of One Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Debrecen, I have decided to pursue a new professional direction.
During my research, I focused on applying bioinformatic approaches to study bacteriophages as potential tools to combat antimicrobial resistance. My work involved designing automated workflows for long-read sequencing data analysis, enabling more efficient genome assembly and characterisation. This experience allowed me to expand my expertise in data analysis, workflow automation, and scientific communication, including presenting my work at an international conference.
I am now transitioning from academic research to a role focused on quality assurance, data integrity and regulated data management.
As a result of this transition, I will no longer be actively developing QPPL. The project will continue to be maintained by the DEpt-metagenom team, ensuring that it remains available and continues to evolve.
I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that this new chapter will bring.
